On XP the startup folder will usually be in the user's folder, not in in the Win tree.
You can locate the startup folder in the Registry:
| Code: |
%%startupfolder = @REGREAD(CURUSER,Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders,Startup)

Well, if it's a shortcut in the startup folder, then just change the file
attributes to readonly and system so that it can't be deleted.

yeah it would be neat if the registry had its own commands
Reg-Code:
| Code: | %%my_link = @regread(HCU,Software\MySoftware\My-Link)
IF @someone-removes-my-link(%%my_link)
reg @put-link-back-in-registry(%%my_link)
END |
