I've gotten 6 mails about threads that have been replied to, but when I clicked the link in every mail I get this messages:

I think is must be to do with the Spam Posts, which are then deleted and you get no topics.

Yes, we got hit last night with a single spammer who replied a bunch and
started a bunch of new topics. I ran through and killed them all.
