I'm having a bit of a brain block at the moment.

Can someone show me the API to change an edit element background color.

I need the API because DIALOG SET won't change the style.

There is no API to just change the background color of an editbox. You would need CodeScripts VDS GUI Extension to do this properly. Or you could remove the current editbox and replace it with a editbox that has the color style you want but that seems kinda messy to me.
