Now what happens if the user just simply yanks out their removable media without shutting down your program first... Your shell menu edits stuck there then?
Or! would it be better to add an entry to the "Send to" folder that opens a dialog offering the possible programs to open the file sent via "Send to". Though, I believe the above situation would also apply to this one as well. _________________ 'What you do not want done to yourself, do not do to others.' - Confucius (550 b.c. to 479 b.c.) |

I thought about that. Well, if the portable drive gets yanked out, then the user has a little more to worry about then my app, BUT I was thinking about making a small program that will run on the host computer and look to see if SeaJay is running. If not then "clean up" the bits left if the drive is yanked out. That should do the trick. _________________ Chris

I think this is ready for beta testing if anyone wants to give it a go. There is no help file yet so you'll just have to play around with it. Just download the file SeaJay.exe and put it in the root of your portable device and run it. There are also portable applications packaged for SeaJay also available to download on the Portable Application page of the site.
Install a portable application: While SeaJay is running click on the Config button (the button on the far right) and choose Install Application and browse for a .SJI file (SeaJay Installer) file.

Soon as I get Windows back up and running again I'll give it a whirl and let you know the results. _________________ 'What you do not want done to yourself, do not do to others.' - Confucius (550 b.c. to 479 b.c.) |
