Is there a way with VDS or a freeware command-line program that I can change the icon of a VDS EXE? I want to be able to change the icon of one of my VDS EXEs on the fly as needed.

First of all is your objective to replace the icon in the EXE or just to have a different icon show in the title bar? Second will this program be used on Win9x/ME? Third no matter what program you use you will not be able to physically change the Exe while the program is running since the OS locks the file.

I want to replace the EXE icon. Windows XP or higher. The EXE that i want to change the icon will not be running.

Yes, I have a copy of it, but I do not think it is legal to distribute copies of the program with a developer's software. Seems to me that there should be a way to do it with VDS itself by reading/writing binary data? I will keep researching things...
