It's either VDS or an HTA file for me nowadays
HTA is basically vbscript |

I agree Garrett!
VDS is really a great programming tool.
I use it less than before (now actively using .NET) but there is always something in my software that is coded in VDS.
But too bad it's dead... and it has not been sold to PK.
Why someone would just leave it dying like that...? poor VDS.
Ciao...guys

Marty, I just got around to trying out the vdsmedia.dll you made.. Very very nice. I don't remember if I tried it when you first released it, if I did, I have forgotten. Recently I dug up some old programs which used either Tommy's vdsmp3.dll or PK's dll and found that both dlls crash for me under VDS 6 on Win 7 32bit, so I started from scratch trying to use only @mci() which was great for a while until I hit some newer mp3 files and then @mci() would choke. Gave your dll a run through and no crashes and everything worked as it should.
Thanks a bunch for making this dll and also thanks for releasing it as freeware eventually.

VDSMEDIA! Yes.. i do remember that one, was my favorite DLL for VDS I wrote. It should always be working fine, since it uses the Windows media player API that comes with windows... Good old days of coding with Delphi..
Thanks Garrett |
