Are you checking the data before or after the "list put,5,..." command?

ohh god i didn't even want to write back to tell you this i had that list put "rem" yes it is working now... question what will happen when i get alot of data meaning this:
1111 1111 1111 11111 1111 11111 1111 1111 1111 1111 1111 1111 1111 1111 1111 1111 11111 1111 11111
cuase right now i'am only testing it on a small data. will it cut it off?

ok thanks again for the help next step it to convert to upper case i see in mac's old post his script does that so i might borrow that part of his code...

Even for some of us who have been using VDS for a while can still get lost
while trying to setup on a long line of wrapped functions like that.
